Well, I have finally graduated from high school. Actually, I graduated three weeks ago. XD I had the time of my life in the seremony and in the party afterwards. That dress was made for me and the silk was bought from China where our family visited two years back. That hat you get to wear only when you have graduated from high school.

I got a laudatur from English. Is the best grade you can get, and only 5% of the people who did that English exam that time get laudatur as a grade. I freaking rock. I also got my life's first scholarship (100 euros) from the school. It was from my good grades. =D

Awww. I love that dress. You look very pretty in it, with that cute little hat. Congrats on your high grades in English! I sure didn't get that high of grades, and it's my native language. haha. :D

What are your plans now? College? Work? Something else?

In Finland you have to take an entrance exam to get to Uni, and I have applied for a one. I doubt I get in, with the reading I did, but that's okay. I want to spend the next year here in Helsinki (the uni is in different city) because of my therapy. I will go to work still next year, I don't want to be lazy.

Yeah, stick with your therapy first. Working can teach you a lot, and get you on a path to discover what you love. Anyway, good luck! :D

We do the hat thing in Denmark as well. And they more or less look like yours. The color of the band around the hat depends on what kind of education you've completed. Mine was light blue.

And that dress is very beautiful. Wonderful color.

English is my passion and I love studying it, but i know that if I choose to study it, the only profession I'll get is likely to be English teacher. BTW, in US, is there a difference between university and college? This question has bothered me for a long time.

There isn't a difference. I just tend to use university because there is a difference in the UK, and I talk to UK-types a fair amount.

You look great. We don't get cool hats like that when we graduate. We get mortarboards. Very odd tradition. Your dress is so gorgeous. I love it. I also really like the frames of your glasses. very cute.

btw, I saw you mention that your passion is English, but you despaired that the only career you could have in English would be English Teacher. I feel like I should point out that English is an important language worldwide, but not everyone speaks it or writes it. So I would think you could also work as a translator or interpreter. Even writing, I'm sure that every year there are books published in English that are translated into Finnish. Or Finnish authors who want to be translated into English? Do you speak and write Swedish as well? I know that a lot of European children have several fluencies by the time they graduate. I have a friend from The Netherlands who spoke 6 perfectly by the time he graduated. Like you, his English writing was so good, that if he never mentioned where he was from, I would never have known he wasn't a native speaker.

You look stunning in that silk dress, and how fun to hear you have gratuadion hats too! Ours change depending on your kind of education so far (work preparing, strictly academic, etc), but as far as I know, none of them are white, we have red, blue, black and I think maybe green.
