Book rec Sofi Oksanen: Baby Jane

florannaI have been wanting to do a this kind of a 'series' for awhile. I may ot bring the most amazing insights on books, but I want to spread the joy of new books I have read and liked. Especially Finnish writers.
This books is from a Finlandia winner Sofi Oksanen (The finlandia winner book was Purge and is also an international bestseller) named Baby Jane, published 2005.
This is truly a honest and even realistic story about a lesbian couple, depression, anxiety disorder and violence in lesbian relationships. It's not very nice story, but it hit me very close and took me within in the very first pages. It's very short book, only bit over 200 oages in finnish, but it still brought me great deal of emotions and made me think.
I highly recommend it!
